New Bass Control and IRC 5 Limiting in Ozone 12

Bass Control is designed to help balance low-end energy in any listening environment, which is useful when a mix feels weak or a kick needs more weight. The developer describes it as a way to add drive, punch and balance without guesswork.

The IRC 5 Maximizer mode is the most advanced limiting algorithm in the Ozone line so far, according to iZotope. It targets higher loudness with clarity, and the developer says it avoids the pumping and distortion usually associated with aggressive limiting.

Custom Master Assistant Workflow

The new Custom flow in Master Assistant lets you choose from dozens of genre targets, toggle individual modules and set loudness levels. The result is a module chain built around your own choices rather than a fixed preset.

Assistant View keeps the chosen preset, targets and signal chain in one place, so you can adjust settings without leaving the Master Assistant workflow. Stem Focus modes use new neural nets for stem separation, which the developer says reduces artifacts compared with Ozone 11.
