Mixing Dolby Atmos in Any DAW

Dolby Atmos Composer is built to run inside a standard DAW rather than requiring one with native immersive audio support. Fiedler Audio says this lets you bring your usual effects and instruments into an Atmos mix, and you can record new tracks while mixing for Dolby Atmos.

Monitoring is handled from the plugin itself. You can monitor on multichannel speakers up to 9.1.6, or use a personalized HRTF for binaural headphone listening. The developer notes that setup does not require manual routing configuration or an external app.

Panning, Reverb and Export

Dolby Atmos Beam is included as a panning plugin for automating movement within the 3D field. Spacelab connects to the composer from version 1.5 onward, so immersive reverb can be added without complex routing.

When the mix is finished, you can export ADM/BWF files for distribution to major platforms. The plugin can also export speaker and headphone renderer outputs simultaneously, and it can import ADM/BWF files for playback, corrections and re-export.
