Mastering Tools and Master Assistant Workflow

Master Assistant is the core of Ozone 12. In the new Custom flow, you choose from dozens of genre targets, toggle individual modules and set loudness levels to build a chain. The Assistant View brings the preset, targets and signal chain into one panel so you can adjust them without leaving the workspace.

The Standard tier includes the Stabilizer module, which uses an adaptive mastering EQ with 25 genre targets added in Ozone 12. Clarity and Impact handle tonal balance and microdynamics, and Transient/Sustain lets you shape attack and body separately across modules.

Low End Control and Limiting

Bass Control is aimed at balancing low-end drive and punch across different listening environments. iZotope says it helps keep masters consistent on playback systems such as car stereos and club systems.

The IRC 5 Maximizer mode is the new limiting algorithm in this version. The developer says it targets higher loudness with less pumping and distortion than earlier Maximizer modes.
