01Overview

Ozone 12 Standard Upgrade is aimed at producers who already own Ozone Elements or the Elements Suite and want the broader Standard toolset. According to iZotope, the Standard tier adds modules such as Bass Control, Clarity, Impact, Stem Focus and Transient/Sustain on top of Elements. The upgrade runs in VST3, VST2, AU and AAX formats on Windows and macOS, and it is 64-bit only.

New Ozone 12 Mastering Tools

Bass Control is designed to help balance low-end energy in any listening environment, adding drive, punch and weight without guesswork. The Custom Assistant flow lets you direct Master Assistant toward a genre or reference target, choose specific modules and set loudness levels, so the resulting chain reflects your own decisions.

The IRC 5 Maximizer mode is Ozone's most advanced limiting algorithm so far, and iZotope says it raises loudness while keeping clarity. The Stabilizer module gains 25 new genre targets in Ozone 12.

Stem Focus and Vocal Tools

Stem Focus modes now use new neural nets, which iZotope says improve separation with fewer artifacts. Assistive Vocal Balance lets Master Assistant place vocals in the mix, with guidance from the Vocal Checker.

Ozone 12 also includes earlier fan-favorite tools such as Imager, Spectral Shaper, Match EQ and the Vintage Compressor, EQ and Tape modules.
