Vocal Effects, Modes and Stompbox Chain
VocalSynth 2 offers three ways to play. Auto Mode applies real-time pitch correction, generates extra voices and harmonies, and blends module settings through a mix panel. MIDI Mode uses incoming MIDI to set the pitch, which iZotope describes as similar to playing a classic vocoder or talkbox. Sidechain Mode replaces the internal synthesizer with your own audio as the carrier signal, so one sound can make another talk.
The effects section is a drag-and-drop chain of seven effects: Shred with sequencer, Ring Mod, Chorus, Distort, Filter, Transform and Delay. Chorus and Ring Mod are new pedal-style additions in this version, and you can reorder the whole chain to change how the effects interact.
