Nectar 4 Standard: Vocal Mixing Plugin by iZotope

Vocal Assistant is the starting point for most workflows. You choose a target from the library or import a reference track, and the plugin shapes EQ, intensity and width to match. Improved Unmask lowers competing mix elements from the Vocal Assistant menu, which helps the vocal sit forward.

The two 24-band Dynamic EQs are built for vocals. Follow EQ Mode tracks the pitch in real time and reduces troublesome resonances and harmonics, so you spend less time editing them by hand. The developer describes the EQs as suited to both corrective and creative tasks.

Nectar 4 Standard also communicates with other iZotope plug-ins in your session to address tonal balance and masking.

Nectar 4 Standard includes Melodyne 5 Essential, a time and pitch correction tool developed with Celemony. It runs as the built-in Pitch Correction Module. Melodyne 5 Essential is computer-based only, so it does not use an iLok dongle for activation.

The package also includes iZotope Relay, a hub for connecting your mix to the iZotope plug-in collection, and a set of professionally designed presets for music and dialogue.
