Vocal Assistant and Dynamic EQ for Fast Vocal Mixing

Vocal Assistant generates custom presets with machine learning, aiming to fit your vocal into the mix. Its menu lets you prioritize the vocal by reducing competing elements, and you can make decisions on EQ, intensity and width from one screen.

The two 24-band Dynamic EQs are designed for vocals. With Follow EQ mode, they track pitch in real time and reduce troublesome resonances, so you spend less time editing resonant frequencies by hand. iZotope says the EQs are built for both corrective and creative work.

Voices, Backer and Audiolens Modules

The Voices module adds harmony layers from 11 auto-harmony styles, with a MIDI mode for controlling the notes and a Mixer View for placing each voice in the soundstage. The AI-powered Backer module creates background singers in eight styles, and you can import your own acapella or a reference target.

Audiolens separates the vocal from a reference track so Vocal Assistant can match its tone. Relay connects Nectar with the rest of your iZotope plugins in the session, and Melodyne 5 Essential is included for pitch correction.

Compatibility and System Requirements

Nectar 4 Standard supports Windows 10 and Windows 11, and macOS 12.6 to 13.5.x, with Apple silicon supported natively for VST3 and AU. Supported hosts include Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Cubase, FL Studio, Studio One, Reason, REAPER and Bitwig Studio. Activation uses a computer-based license or an iLok USB dongle, and internet access is required for activation.
