Plate Sound and Vintage Character
The EMT 140 was the first plate reverb and was prized for a bright, smooth tone and a lush decay. Arturia recreated the original unit and also modeled two other plate reverbs it found during its research, giving you three plate characters to choose from.
Each plate has its own resonant character. The modeled damping lets you adjust decay times while keeping the plate's tonal behavior, and the integrated vacuum tube preamp can add warmth or be pushed to add some grit when the signal needs it.
Because the plates are modeled rather than sampled, the reverb responds to the decay and damping settings you choose instead of playing back a fixed impulse.
