01Overview

Rev Ocean is built for fast atmosphere design. Its delay-network reverb and multi-stage diffusion aim for long, stable tails with constant movement. Drum loops, vocals and guitars can all be pushed into wide, shifting spaces. Arturia's focus is on the speed and simplicity of getting there, with a compact set of controls for size, decay, brightness and movement.

Sound and Character of Rev Ocean

Rev Ocean's core is a pristine FDN reverberator combined with multi-stage diffusion. Arturia describes the result as hyper-fluid tails with stable reflections and constant motion.

The three Macro Modes, Abyss, Tide and Foam, shape the tail differently. Abyss, Tide and Foam add layered reverse depth, phase-like spectral motion and soft diffused swells. A Freeze function holds the tail indefinitely for suspended textures and transitions.

Controls and Mix Workflow

The core controls are Size, Decay, Brightness and Macro, which set the scale, length, tone and movement of the space.

For mixing, Pre Delay, filtering, Transients, Ducking and Width help place a deep reverb while keeping the source clear. Mix, Return and Mix Lock handle wet/dry balance and reverb level, and let you browse presets without losing your mix position. A/B comparison and a resizable GUI are also included.
