Sound Character and Core Architecture
The ARP2600 V keeps the original instrument's core: three voltage-controlled oscillators, Osc2 to Osc1 synchronization, and a 24 dB/octave low-pass filter with self-oscillation. A sample and hold, a ring modulator, a noise generator and ADSR and AR envelope followers round out the signal path.
Arturia's TAE analog modeling is used to reproduce the oscillators and filters. The developer says this recreates the characteristics of the original analog circuits, including the original grey face filter.
