01Overview

Motion: Dimension Lite combines two delay lines with adjustable reverbs in a single effect. Excite Audio built its control surface around a hexagon with six macro sliders, so you can shape several delay and reverb parameters at once. A magnetic cursor pushes and pulls those sliders, which turns modulation into a performable, visual gesture. A 3D reactive visualiser shows the sound as it plays.

Dual delays, reverbs and the hexagon controller

The plugin pairs dual delays with plate and hall reverbs. According to Excite Audio, you can blend smoothly between the two reverb types to create evolving spaces, from short echoes to wide, sweeping textures.

The hexagon replaces a standard XY pad. Its six macro sliders can be assigned to any delay or reverb parameter, and a magnetic field around your mouse cursor moves them. Attract and repel modes let you pull the sliders together or push them apart, and the magnet can be switched on or off.

Global controls and workflow

Input and output gain, a global dry/wet mix, a safety limiter, an input thru toggle and a global bypass sit alongside the effect controls. The plugin includes 75 presets, including 43 dual presets, 23 FX and mapping presets and 9 path and cursor presets. A step-by-step interactive tutorial is included for learning the controls.
