Kinetic: Kontakt Instrument for Modern Club Sounds by Muze

Kinetic's preset library is split between synths, pluck sounds and massive basses. Muze describes the synths as mysterious and dark, and the basses as a mix of familiar and new shapes. The plucks give you a wide range of short, rhythmic sounds for melodic layers and hooks.

The sounds were sampled from both analog and digital equipment, which gives the library a mix of textures. The library totals 3.6 GB after lossless compression, so it is a substantial download for a Kontakt instrument.

Kinetic includes 14 built-in effects, among them a compressor, delays, reverb, limiter, cabinet, gainer, rotator, stereo panner, chorus, phaser, flanger and 3- and 5-band EQ. The full effects set is available in the settings, so you can shape each sound further than the presets allow.

The layering engine works with the sound browser and the effects section. You can stack sounds and process them together, which suits building thicker synth and bass patches.
