Aquamarine Complete: Kontakt Pad and Synth Library by Muze

Aquamarine Complete is built around layering. Each preset has four layers that you blend with the XY pad, so a single patch can move from one texture to another as you perform. Because each preset can mix from 2 to 144 sounds at once, the library works as a starting point for building your own timbres rather than only a set of ready-made patches.

The 2700 source sounds give you raw material to explore, transform and combine. Muze describes the set as a mix of analog-style synths and recorded pad instruments, which suits hybrid textures for scoring and sound design.

The instrument loads in Kontakt, and the interface lets you control the main aspects of the sound. The built-in step sequencer helps create rhythmic pulses directly inside the instrument, which is useful for pulsing pads and synth lines.

The library is 28.8 GB on disk and benefits from an SSD. It requires the full version of Kontakt and does not run in the free Kontakt Player. Its styles are ambient, chillout, electronica and film production.
