Mellotron Character and Sound Library

The core of Mello is a classic Mellotron M400 sound, presented as a set of 238 sounds. The library spans brass, guitar, mallets, organ, strings, pianos, sax and vocals, along with pads and other textures.

The 238 presets combine classic and newer hybrid instruments, including accordion, vibraphone, marimba, xylophone, celesta, glockenspiel, gamelan, timpani, electric pianos and woodwinds. This gives you a wide palette of tonal starting points without building each sound from scratch.

Effects, Controls and Workflow in Kontakt

Mello ships with 30 built-in effects, including a compressor, delays, reverb, limiter, cabinet, gainer, rotator, skreamer, distortion and a 4-band EQ. A Leslie speaker rotator effect and distortion and tape saturator effects add further coloration for a dirtier sound.

The user interface lets you shape every part of the sound, so you can move from a clean Mellotron tone to a heavily processed one within the same instrument. The library contains 4254 compressed samples and takes up 2.4 GB of disk space.
