Eerie Sounds Made From Pumpkins
The library's sample sets cover bowed textures, short hits, plucked rubber bands and a fake transistor organ. The developer describes the pumpkins as sampled with two microphones: a large diaphragm condenser mic and a piezo attached directly to the skin. The two sources were mixed together to shape the final sound.
The bowed textures and hits suit tension-building passages, while the plucked and organ-style sounds work as offbeat melodic or rhythmic elements.
