Bell Sources and Sound Range
The library is based on sampling sessions at Pontificia Fonderia Marinelli in Agnone, Italy, a bell foundry. The developer describes the set as going from brass to iron, so the tonal range is wide: sharp, metallic hits from cowbells and desk-bells sit alongside the longer ring of a singing bowl and the older character of telephone bells.
Each bell is sampled with several articulations and techniques. The instruments use up to 3 velocity layers and up to 7 round robin samples, which helps repeated hits sound less mechanical. The library contains 200 samples at 44.1kHz / 24-bit.
