Piano Sound and Microphone Options

Eternity is built around a Steinway D sampled with ten microphone positions, so you can shape the room and tonal balance rather than accepting a single fixed capture. The samples span 12 velocity layers, which gives the notes a range of dynamic detail from soft to loud playing.

Muze states the recording was made in a dry studio using both modern and vintage microphones. Because the library is dry, the space around the piano comes from the built-in effects or your own processing.

Layering, Effects and Workflow

The instrument includes a layering engine with XY pad modulation, which lets you blend sources and move between sound variations in a single control. It also provides 14 built-in effects, including compressor, delays, reverb, limiter, cabinet, chorus, phaser, flanger and 3- and 5-band EQ.

The interface is customizable, with a wide set of settings for adjusting the instrument to your project. Eternity runs inside the full version of Kontakt and will not load in the free Kontakt Player.
