01Overview

Cloudmax 2 Upgrade from Cloudmax 1 continues the Cloudmax line of multi-effect plugins from Karanyi Sounds. Granular Texture and Reverb Design

The core of Cloudmax 2 is a granular engine with four layers. Each layer can be shaped for pitch, grain panning and density, which allows chord-like pitched textures to be built from a single sound.

The plugin includes three algorithmic reverbs: Stratus, carried over from Cloudmax 1, plus the new Cirrus and Wash. Karanyi Sounds describes Stratus as a colorful, analog-style reverb and Cirrus as a delicate reverb with long tails. Wash blurs the texture before it reaches the main reverb units.

Controls, Views and Workflow

Cloudmax 2 has a streamlined set of controls that can be assigned to MIDI learn. The Front view is designed for quick adjustments, while the Advanced view exposes the full set of DSP controls for detailed sound design.

The plugin also includes filters, EQ, stereo control, a glue compressor and a Smart Randomizer that can generate random textures and random reverb settings. Four skins are available for the interface.
