01Overview

Continuo is designed for composers and producers who want textured, atmospheric material quickly. The library is based on samples of several Fender guitars and a range of hardware effect processors, recorded at 24-bit/48kHz through UAD Apollo AD converters. Its patches are long, often 30 to 150 seconds, which suits sustained pads and evolving beds. The instrument is aimed at film, video game and electronic music work.

Sound Design and Layer Designer Engine

Continuo includes 18 instrument modules: 12 extra-long guitar patches and 4 super-large texture patches, plus additional colouring sources. The guitar patches cover several techniques, including bowed, tremolo, vibrato, beaten with a wooden stick, and driven playing. Two families stand apart: Hojave, with raw, almost cello-like patches for intimate textures, and Badlands, with straighter, edgier and sometimes organ-like patches for sharper or epic soundscapes.

The Layer Designer Engine lets you run up to four sound modules at the same time. Each slot has four EQs, two vintage effects (a slow Leslie rotator and a classic phaser), and two Lexicon-style reverb sends, which can combine into unusual textures.

Workflow, Pulses and Master Section

The interface is built for fast work and exposes more than 80 adjustable controls under the hood. A Pulses section turns sounds into rhythmic movement, with eight LFO presets from fast to slow that sync to your DAW or Kontakt master clock.

A master section adds an SSL-style channel EQ, a glue compressor and a master limiter for final shaping of edge, brilliance and fullness.
