Playmod is built on the effect engine of Lofi Keys 2 and expanded into a full creative FX plugin. Its three-slot rack lets you load and reorder effects, so you can shape vocals, synths, guitars, drums or full mixes. The plugin combines saturation, modulation, reverb and lo-fi playback in one place, with 50 factory presets to start from. It is available in VST2, AU and AAX formats on Windows and macOS.

Saturation, Modulation and Reverb in One Rack

Playmod's modular rack holds three effect slots, and each unit can be swapped out to change the chain. The Neural Amp section offers six analog-modeled saturation types for driving instruments from gentle color to heavy distortion. Vapor Dimension mk2 adds stereo-enhancing chorus, phaser and widener presets for wider, more animated sound.

Neural Space is an AI-assisted reverb with Analog and Digital modes, so you can choose between warm, vintage-style space and cleaner, more modern tails.

Vintage Playback Modes for Lo-Fi Character

The Player section emulates six playback modes: Vinyl, Old Vinyl, Digital, Bitcrush, Tape and Cassette. Each mode can be customized with pitch modulation, noise type and EQ. Noise envelope controls let hiss or crackle fade in and out with the signal, and filter, noise gain and compressor settings shape the mood in more detail.
