Continuo 2: Cinematic Piano Texture Instrument for Kontakt

Continuo 2 is based on piano recordings made with several unconventional microphone setups and playing techniques. The library includes a traditional piano, a prepared piano and hand-picked instruments. Karanyi Sounds enhanced these recordings with Sequential Circuits Rev2 and Moog modular modules to add bite and analog low end. Samples were recorded with analog gear and run through cassettes and tapes for a more organic feel. Some patches also use digital granular effects and distortion stompboxes.

The instrument has four sound modules that you can blend, plus a transient layer. Controls such as twist, blend, filter, sharpen, wow, blur, echo and overdrive shape the sound.

Continuo 2 includes an LFO tremolo module with eight presets and a Prophet 5 style filter-type LFO module, also with eight presets. Two custom vintage reverbs and an authentic tape machine wow control add color to the sound.

The master section includes an EQ, compressor and limiter. The instrument also ships with more than 80 factory and artist presets, which you can use as starting points for your own hybrid sounds.
