Layered Sound Design and Texture Control
Whoosh FX is built around three discrete layers. Each layer draws from a selection of noises and textural sounds in categories including air, electrical, fire, metal, orchestral, water and wind. You can shape each layer with envelope presets or envelopes you draw with the mouse, which gives you direct control over how a whoosh rises, peaks and fades.
Movement is a core part of the design. Doppler effects and modulation let a sound pass across a space, and the morphing vowel filter adds a vocal-like character that moves over time. These tools are useful when a static texture needs to feel like it is travelling.
