Emulation II+ is a 64-bit sampler instrument plugin from UVI that loads authentic sounds recorded from vintage '80s hardware samplers, including the Emulator, Emulator II and Emulator III, plus a lo-fi drum machine.
Emulation II+ gathers three iconic '80s sampler-synths and a lo-fi drum machine in one library. The original officially licensed sounds are joined by new material, all recorded from the vintage hardware. You can load the four instruments individually or combine them in a multi to build stacked sounds and layered phrases. The set is aimed at musicians, composers, producers and sound designers who want the lo-fi character of vintage samplers.
The core of Emulation II+ is a set of instruments built from sounds of the Emulator, Emulator II and Emulator III. Each instrument carries authentic hardware sounds, so the character of those machines comes through in the samples.
The Drumulation+ drum machine adds drum samples drawn from the Drumulator, SP12, and EI, II, and III. It includes a creative sequencer and MIDI drag-and-drop, which lets you move patterns into your project quickly.
The library contains over 1,300 presets, 270 multis, 800+ layers and 2,400+ drums. Multis let you combine instruments into larger stacked sounds and four-plus-one part phrases.
The ready-to-go sounds and patterns are fully editable, so you can start from a finished patch and reshape it to fit your track.

Emulation II+ runs in UVI Workstation version 3.0.25 or later, and in Falcon version 2.1.8 or later. It requires an iLok account for license activation, which is free and does not need a dongle, plus an internet connection for activation.
It supports macOS 10.14 Mojave through macOS 15 Sequoia, and Windows 10 through Windows 11 in 64-bit.
The library needs 12 GB of disk space. A 7,200 rpm hard drive is recommended, or a solid state drive. The minimum is 4 GB of RAM, and 8 GB or more is highly recommended for large UVI soundbanks.
The instruments use sounds recorded from the Emulator, Emulator II and Emulator III. The Drumulation+ drum machine draws on samples from the Drumulator, SP12, and EI, II, and III.
