Verve is a Kontakt instrument library from Soundiron that recreates the sounds of a 1960s Italian combo organ, with sustains, staccatos, key sound effects and ambient patches.
Verve is a sample-based instrument for Kontakt that draws on the Jen Brio 61-CS, a 61-key Italian combo organ from the early 1960s. The library captures the instrument's well-known vibrato string tones along with its synth-style trombone, trumpet, clarinet, oboe, tibia, piano and harpsichord presets. Soundiron recorded the articulations in wide stereo and through a direct line, then built a set of evolving ambient pads from the same source material.
The library includes synth sustains, staccatos, and key up/down sound effects, recorded in two microphone positions. The developer recorded the instrument in a dry studio using a pair of Neumann TLM 103 large-diaphragm microphones and a direct line input.
Beyond the core instruments, Verve includes 30 ambience patches and 20 sound-designed FX and ambient presets. Together they cover both the organ's characteristic tones and atmospheric textures.
The interface offers volume, attack, release, transient offset, vibrato and octave layering controls. A Glide control enables legato and portamento leads.
The LFO system provides selectable shapes, modulation targets, speed, intensity, tempo sync and fade-in time. You can choose from 13 low-pass, high-pass and FX filters, with modulation assignable to velocity, mod wheel, expression, aftertouch, key position and step-sequencer table control. The customizable arpeggiator includes a velocity table and controls for direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration, and a key and scale lock helps keep melodies in key.

Verve requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.5 or later. It will not run fully in the free Kontakt Player, where it is only available in demo mode.
