Voice of Rapture: The Alto is built around a recording of a solo operatic alto, captured dry in studio with two microphone types. The library covers a wide dynamic range, from fortissimo to pianissimo, and is organized into articulations you can play chromatically across the keyboard. It ships as 6.32 GB of 24-bit, 48 kHz uncompressed WAV samples, with 38 instrument presets and 8,310 samples for Kontakt.

Articulations and Vocal Character

The library includes four true legato vowels, Ah, Mm, Oh and Oo, each recorded with a long-form method for smooth transitions between notes. Piano and forte sustains are available for Ah, Ee, Eh, Oh and Oo, with Hum sustains in the piano set.

The staccato collection offers 29 Latin and vowel words and syllables with attack shaping and polyphonic legato. Twelve sustaining Latin polysustain chants add releases, legato and tempo-syncing. Whispers, breaths and other vocal effects are also included.

Phrase Banks, Effects and Workflow

Melodic phrases are grouped into Latin, French, Vowel and Whistling categories, each covering a full range of keys. Options include pitch transposition, pattern sequencing, legato blending, tempo-syncing and time-stretching, phrase shaping, and offset and release editing.

A built-in Multi-FX rack provides chorus, compression, distortion, amp and cabinet simulation, EQ, delay and reverb. The reverb section adds 25 creative FX convolutions and 45 rooms, studios, chambers, cathedrals and halls, with tone, size and mix controls. Parameters are fully automatable, and the key switch and GUI can be customized.
