Real-Time Control with The Ribbon and HotSwitch

UltraTap's Ribbon control lets you program two settings for any combination of controls and move smoothly between them while you play or mix. The HotSwitch goes a step further, jumping to an alternate setting at the press of a button for sudden changes in effect and sound.

Eventide says these controls are meant to bring the workflow closer to tweaking hardware. Tap Tempo and MIDI control of The Ribbon support live use, and the Length and Chop LFO speed can sync to your DAW session.

Taps, Spread and Slurm for Rhythmic and Reverb-Style Effects

Use up to 64 taps to make simple repeats, or push the taps toward chorus and reverb textures. The Spread knob changes the rhythmic space between taps, and the Slurm control smears or modulates them to create reverb-like sounds.

Onboard LFOs and envelopes can chop a sound source into stuttered rhythms, and you can switch the stereo image of taps between hard-panned and mono. Mix Lock keeps the wet-dry balance constant while you scroll through presets.
