Eventide describes Blackhole's reverb tails as soft in attack and lingering in harmonic content, which suits guitars, strings and pads at larger sizes. At smaller sizes, the developer says the same character can add a sheen to vocals or give a drum track a more unusual rhythmic feel.
The Gravity control reverses the arrow of time by inverting the decay. The Kill Switch mutes the dry input so only the reverb is heard, which is useful when automating it. Mix Lock keeps the wet/dry balance constant while you scroll through presets or settings.
