01Overview

Eventide's Quadravox is an effects plugin built around harmony and rhythm. It takes an incoming sound and generates up to four voices, each set by musical interval, level, panning, delay time with feedback and pitch. The plugin is designed to run in several instances at once, so tracks can interact through stacked harmonies and sequenced patterns. Harmony and Sequencing Workflow

Quadravox's Notation Grid shows pitches on a traditional music staff, with a quantized grid for placing notes over time. Color and brightness indicate pan position and level for each voice, which makes the four voices easier to read at a glance.

KeyLock and MixLock help keep your setup stable. KeyLock holds the Key and Scale while you audition options, and MixLock keeps the wet/dry balance fixed as you scroll through presets or your own snapshots.

Each voice has its own delay time with feedback, and the effect can be synced to your DAW tempo for melodic, rhythmic delays.

Sound Character and Use Cases

A Randomize function applies a small amount of micro pitch shift to each of the four voices. Eventide describes this as a way to simulate natural character, which can loosen up stacked parts that sound too rigid.

Pitch tracking can be switched off, and Eventide says this mode suits polyphonic and rhythmic sources. The plugin is also suited to monophonic synths, guitar and vocals, according to the developer's description of its strengths.
