01Overview

TONEX Rig Upgrade is aimed at owners of TONEX SE, TONEX or TONEX MAX who want more tonal options. It brings the expanded TONEX Board engine into TONEX 2 Player, covering drives, fuzz, dynamics, modulation, pitch, EQ, filters, delays, reverbs and utility effects. Rigs built in TONEX 2 Player can be taken to TONEX Board for rehearsal, recording and live use, and complete rigs can be shared through ToneNET.

Effects and Signal Chain Routing

IK Multimedia describes the upgrade as providing 76 studio-quality effects, with many derived from AmpliTube alongside custom TONEX processors. Effect types include drives, fuzz pedals, dynamics, modulation, pitch, EQ, filters, delays, reverbs and utility tools.

Routing is built around a 12-block signal chain. Presets can use dual paths, Split and Mix routing, and stereo operation, and can combine up to four Tone Models, including two amp captures and two stomp captures, in one split multi-amp preset.

Rig Sharing and TONEX Board Workflow

Because presets carry over from TONEX 2 Player to TONEX Board, a rig you build for the studio can be used unchanged for rehearsal or live performance. Complete rigs, including Tone Models, effects, cabinets and routing, can be uploaded, discovered and downloaded through ToneNET.

The upgrade also includes firmware 1.1.0 for TONEX Board, which adds USB audio, USB MIDI, improved touchscreen responsiveness and Scene control enhancements.
