01Overview

Tonex Joe Satriani Amp Vault gives Tonex users access to tone models built from the amps Joe Satriani owns and uses. Joe selected each of the 28 amplifiers, dialed in his preferred settings, and had them captured at Sammy Hagar's Red Rocker Studios with IK Multimedia's AI machine modeling. The collection spans British rock, vintage Fender and Joe's modified signature amps, and includes the Dragon tone models based on his 3rd Power Amplification head.

British Rock and Vintage Amp Tones

The collection includes Tone Models based on several Marshall amps, including four versions of Joe's JVM410H signature amp: stock, C83 Mod, KT88 and 6L6. Each version is described as having its own character, from a looser, more vintage Plexi sound to a more aggressive, gnarly tone.

The set also covers early Marshall Plexi and Super Lead amps from 1969 and 1971, along with 6100 and JCM 2000 models. Together they range from clean to high-gain sounds.

Fender captures are included as well: nine classic amps from the 1950s and 1960s, including an original '53 Tweed Deluxe that Joe has used on most of his albums since the early 1990s.

The Dragon Amp Tone Models

The Dragon is a collaboration between Joe Satriani and 3rd Power Amplification. Eight Dragon tone models are available to all paid users of the collection. IK Multimedia describes the tones as rich and complex, with a wide range of vintage and modern Plexi sounds.

The Dragon tone models were captured at Red Rocker Studios using Joe's favorite settings.
