Vintage Organ Sounds and Character

The suite covers a wide range of organ types. Hammer B is built on a 1950s Hammond B3 with a Leslie rotary speaker, and the developer describes it as the most famous tone wheel organ and rotary cabinet ever produced. Super VX is based on a 1960s Vox Continental transistor combo organ. Retrocorda uses a tube-based Philips Philicorda from the 1960s, and GT2500 draws on the Eminent Grand Theater 2500 for classic strings, organ stacks and percussion.

Recordings were made through the original speakers, through rotary cabinets, and through DI boxes and vintage guitar amps, so you can work with both raw and processed tones. The UVI Engine lets you move from subtle to extreme sound design.

Workflow, Layering and Rotary Effects

Retro Organ Suite works with Falcon or UVI Workstation, where you can load as many instruments and pedals as you need. Each instrument's key range can be set separately, so you can split or layer sounds across keyboards. All controls support MIDI-learn.

Version 1.5 adds the latest generation of the Rotary effect, with DSP built to match the characteristics of a vintage unit. The same rotary improvements are also in the latest standalone version of the plugin, which benefits the whole collection. Version 1.5 also introduces Yammy C10, a combo organ based on a fully restored 1970s Yamaha YC10.
