01Overview

Bloom Bass Groove Lite is built around 56 bass samples recorded from professional bass players and organized into four sample banks. The samples cover slap, picked, fingerstyle and muted bass, plus one-shot articulations. Each sample is synced to the host tempo and can be played across 14 keys, so you can audition different playing styles in time and in key with your track. The Lite version is a reduced edition of the full Bloom Bass Groove.

Excite Audio says the samples were recorded from professional bass players using several well-known bass guitars and a mix of recording methods, including direct signal routed to the mixing desk and studio amping. The instrument groups these recordings into four banks covering 56 samples.

The sound can be shaped with four macros labeled Tube, Digital, Sub-EQ and Realism, along with a Speaker simulation module, a Dynamics section, and a filter. Five main FX parameters (Filter, Speaker, Dynamics, Lo-Cut and Hi-Cut) give direct control over the tone and dynamics of each part.

Workflow, Modifiers and Presets

Five factory modifiers (Half-time, Double-Time, Reverse, Octave Down and Octave Up) change the playback of a sample, and five custom modifiers can be added for more options. Key selection and Global Bypass make it easy to compare a part with and without processing.

The 75 presets are sorted into categories including Clean, Experimental, High Energy, Low Energy, Melodic, Processed and Rhythmic, so you can start from a style that fits your track and adjust from there.
