Pitch Monster: Pitch Shifter and Harmoniser Plugin by Devious Machines Free Download

Pitch Monster includes granular, formant-shifting and vocoder engines. The developer says the plugin goes beyond ordinary pitch shifting, with pitch and time spread and randomisation functions that change familiar sounds into more unusual results.

Formant mode is aimed at vocals but also works with other clean monophonic audio. It separates the speed of the vocal pulses from the size of the resonating chambers, so you can change gender-like qualities or push a voice toward a very different character. The developer warns that extreme settings can push the sound too far.

Chord mode lets you select up to eight notes on the on-screen keyboard to form a chord. It can harmonise a sound or add higher or lower layers. Eight chord memory slots let you save and recall chords, and chords can be copied between slots or to other instances of the plugin.

In MIDI mode, your DAW or MIDI keyboard controls the amount of shift, with note, glide and pitch bend support. Pitch Monster can also create 8 unison voices, or 64 voices in MIDI or chord mode, which can be spread in time, pitch or both for wide or diffuse textures.
