Sample Import, REX Files and Pad Mapping

Punch 2 lets you import your own samples and REX files. You can map REX files or sample slices to individual pads and combine them with the built-in sounds and pattern sequencer.

Once mapped, REX and sliced pads can be edited with filters, envelopes and routing into one of the four FX modules. Rob Papen also notes that granular synthesis can be applied to REX and slice pads.

Master Section and Included Sounds

A new Master section adds EQ, a compressor, a limiter, a stereo/mono split filter and a layout mixer. The product also includes a large set of sounds intended to be used directly in productions.
