SubBoomBass 2: Bass Synth Plugin by Rob Papen Free Download

Rob Papen expanded the sound colour of SubBoomBass 2 beyond its analogue-modelled oscillators. Spectrum waveforms and Karplus-Strong string synthesis add sources that the original did not offer.

The grain sample mode granularly resynthesizes samples, which can turn a loaded sample into textures or evolving basses. A post filter distortion mode adds grit after the filter, and new zero latency filter types and ring modulation extend the filter section.

The plugin also supports monophonic play modes for low or high note priority, and Poly MPE for expressive control with compatible controllers.

The interface has been reworked, with an improved top section and updated oscillator, filter and sequencer panels. The GUI can be resized to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200%, and a control menu in the upper right corner handles global settings and update checks.

The sequencer adds a ratcheting feature for repeated note subdivisions. New modulation sources and destinations, along with clipper, tremolo, vibrato and ring modulation effects, give more ways to shape movement in a patch.

The Bank Manager includes a star feature so favourite sounds can be found quickly.
