Punch-BD: Bass Drum Synth and Sample Player by Rob Papen Free Download

Punch-BD lets you stack up to six bass drums. You can divide the pads across the keyboard or stack them in tuned mode so they respond to the notes you play.

Each pad has four synthesis models, four classic electronic bass drum samples and 31 punch samples, plus a dual sample slot. Each sample slot has its own amp and pitch envelopes and filter. Each pad also has its own distortion section with 20 models and a three-band graphic EQ, so you can shape each layer before it reaches the mix.

The four FX units offer 31 effect types, and each pad can route its output to the dry signal or to any of the four FX channels.

Two envelopes, two LFOs and eight modulation slots give you several ways to move the sound over time. The mixer screen shows volume and panning for all pads along with the FX mix, so you can balance the layers in one view.

The EasyPage uses sliders for the main controls, which is useful for tweaking sounds during playback. Its parameters can be assigned to MIDI latching with a controller. The manager screen handles banks and presets, with load, save, copy and paste functions and a find tool.
