Transient and Tonal Processing

Physion Mk II uses Eventide's Improved Structural Split technology to separate incoming audio into transient and tonal streams. Each stream has its own effects chain, so you can process attacks and sustained material differently in the same session.

You can control the transient and tonal output levels independently and adjust the underlying split for fine-tuning. The filters are taken from SplitEQ, a sign that the splitting engine is shared with that earlier Eventide product.

Effects, Presets and Workflow

The transient stream includes delay, tap delay, dynamics, phaser, reverb, gate with EQ, and reverse delay. The tonal stream includes delay, dynamics, pitch, chorus, reverb, tremolo, EQ, and reverse delay.

The factory library contains more than 500 presets, grouped into categories. The interface is resizable and includes a scrolling waveform display, A/B comparison, undo and redo, and three color schemes, including a colorblind-accessible option.
