Transient and Tonal Processing Explained
Physion Mk II splits incoming audio into a transient stream and a tonal stream using Eventide's Improved Structural Split technology. You can process each stream separately, then control the output level of the transient and tonal paths independently.
The underlying split can also be adjusted directly. This makes it possible to fine-tune where the separation falls, which is useful when a mix element has both percussive and sustained content.
The transient effects include Delay, Tap Delay, Dynamics, Phaser, Reverb, Gate+EQ and Reverse Delay. The tonal effects include Delay, Dynamics, Pitch, Chorus, Reverb, Tremolo, EQ and Reverse Delay.
