Ozone 12 Advanced is a complete mastering suite built around a mothership plugin and 20 component modules. The upgrade path is for producers who already own an earlier Ozone Standard and want the full Advanced feature set. The suite adds new tools for bass control, dynamic restoration and stem-based EQ, alongside an updated Master Assistant that can build chains to match genre targets or reference tracks.

New mastering tools in Ozone 12

Bass Control adds drive, punch and balance to the low end regardless of listening environment. Unlimiter works as an undo for overly compressed audio, reintroducing lost dynamics using machine learning. Stem EQ lets you EQ vocals, bass, drums and instruments separately within a stereo master.

The IRC 5 Maximizer mode is the most advanced limiting algorithm in the Ozone line, aimed at higher loudness with clarity. The Custom Assistant flow lets you choose genre targets, modules and loudness levels for a personalized chain.

Workflow and existing Ozone tools

Ozone 12 includes 21 plugins: a mothership and 20 components that can be used individually or combined in the mothership chain. The Assistant View gathers targets and signal chain adjustments in one place.

Ozone 12 also carries forward fan-favorite tools from earlier versions, including Imager, Spectral Shaper, Match EQ, and Vintage Compressor, EQ and Tape, plus Tonal Balance Control 2 for metering levels against a balance target.
