01Overview

Organetta captures the Hohner El Luxe 49P, a portable electronic organ from the early 1970s. The instrument's character sits somewhere between a melodica, an accordion and an analog synthesizer. Soundiron recorded two microphone positions, close stereo and direct line, so you can choose between a roomy tone and a dry, direct one. The library also includes sustains, releases, staccatos, drum loops and keystroke sounds, along with ambient pads and drones built from the same source material.

Sound and Character of the Vintage Hohner Organ

The original organ used colorful switches to move between tones, from mellow flutes to bright trumpet, and from warm strings to a hollow oboe-like voice. Soundiron sampled these sounds across two microphone positions, close stereo and direct.

The library also includes 20 ambient pads and evolving drones created from the source content. Developer Soundiron describes these as sound-designed textures for atmospheric and cinematic use. Samples are delivered as 24-bit / 48 kHz uncompressed PCM WAV files.

Controls, Arpeggiator and FX Rack in Kontakt

Organetta uses a multi-layer interface with an LFO, filter, glide and arpeggiator. The LFO offers selectable shapes, targets, speed, intensity, tempo sync and fade-in time. The filter section includes 12 lowpass, highpass and FX filters with assignable modulation sources.

The arpeggiator provides control over direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration, and includes a velocity table and a key and scale lock. The full FX rack includes convolution reverb with custom rooms, halls, chambers and FX environments.
