MODO DRUM 1.5 Upgrade: Physical Modeling Drum Plugin by IK Multimedia

IK Multimedia says MODO DRUM's modal synthesis engine determines each drum's acoustic behavior from its physical parameters, play style, head-to-body interaction, sympathetic vibration between drums and the acoustic interaction with the room.

Each drum can be reshaped in detail. You can adjust the diameter, height and shell profile of every drum, tune and damp the skins, and change snare size and tension. Kick drums offer beater type and heel up or heel down technique, and sympathetic snare and tom resonance can be controlled.

The play style section adds control over hit position, hit accuracy, and stick and head types. Infinite velocity layers and infinite round-robins are designed to keep repeated hits from sounding identical.

MODO DRUM includes 1400+ MIDI patterns, with smart filters for finding loops by genre, length and time signature. Grooves can be triggered inside the plugin or dragged into your DAW.

The room section offers 8 convolution-based room reverbs, from a dry booth to a studio, club or cathedral. Each element of the kit interacts with the space, and room tone can be gated or compressed.

The built-in mixer provides per-element levels, panning, mute, solo and phase flip, plus buses and two sends per element. A suite of 19 studio processors and effects derived from T-RackS and AmpliTube is included, with an 8-band parametric EQ and four extra FX slots on each channel.
