Soundscapes Vol.2: Kontakt Ambience and Texture Instrument by AudioThing

The samples were captured in Las Vegas, Dublin, Prague, Naples and Cosenza, using studio and portable equipment. AudioThing lists a mix of microphone types, including handmade piezo and inductor mics, a large condenser microphone and a binaural microphone set.

The four categories reflect these sources. Binaural sets capture spatial, places-based ambience, while inductor and piezo sets focus on electromagnetic and contact-based textures. Concrete sets mix objects and places, giving a broad palette for layered beds and sound design.

Each instrument is boxed with a custom interface. According to AudioThing, pitch bend is mapped to a range of ±24 semitones, which makes it possible to create glitch-style effects by bending the sample pitch.

If you do not own Kontakt, the WAV loops offer the same material for direct use in your DAW. Because every sample is a seamless loop, the audio repeats without audible seams, which suits long pads and background beds.
