Laundronium: Washing Machine Sample Instrument by Soundiron

The library covers finger and mallet tuned and untuned percussion, plus bowed and plucked stringed articulations. Samples are stored as 24-bit / 48 kHz uncompressed PCM WAV files, so the source recordings stay intact for editing and resampling.

Soundiron says the percussion spans a wide spectrum of tones, from soft and gong-like to tight, muted and trashy. Because the samples are unlocked, you can adjust or replace them to fit your own material.

The Kontakt interface gives you automation-ready control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, coarse and fine pitch, articulation switching, cross-fading and layering. An LFO with selectable shape, target, speed, intensity, tempo sync and fade-in time adds movement.

An arpeggiator with velocity table, direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration control helps with rhythmic patterns. A key and scale lock keeps melodies within common scales. The modular FX rack offers 10 slots and 18 DSP modules, including phaser, flanger, delay, distortion, amp and cab simulators, compressors, EQ and a convolution reverb with custom rooms, halls, chambers and FX environments. The library also includes 20 sound-designed FX and ambient presets.
