01Overview

KStrip is built around three modules: preamp-style saturation, an equalizer and a dynamics section. Each module offers three distinct circuit characters, so you can choose the flavor that suits each source rather than stacking separate plugins. The Kiive Audio modules were developed using the developer's own modeling techniques, inspired by classic hardware from several console and outboard manufacturers. KStrip runs on Windows and macOS as a 64-bit plugin for supported DAWs.

Saturation, EQ and Dynamics Circuit Options

Each of the three modules has three circuit choices. The saturation module offers a punchy, forward-mid setting with subtle grit, a warmer and richer setting, and a clean, detailed setting that adds aggression when pushed. The EQ module ranges from bold, energetic boosts to smooth, broad curves and aggressive, precise cuts and boosts.

The compressor section follows the same pattern: a fast, snappy compressor for transient-focused work, a smooth vintage-style compressor for cohesion, and a tight, transparent compressor for controlling peaks with minimal coloration.

Choosing a Channel Strip for Each Source

Kiive Audio describes the punchy settings as suited to drums and guitars that need extra presence, and the warmer settings as suited to vocals and low-end instruments. The clean setting is described as a fit for acoustic instruments and for adding aggression in a rock mix.

Because every module can be switched independently, you can build a different strip for each track of a mix, using the same plugin across the whole session.
