Three-band architecture for bass sound design
Rumble splits its signal into Body, Character and Air. Body covers sub-bass through bass and holds the weight and punch of a sound, including 808s and sub kicks. Character covers low-mids through upper-mids and carries the tonal identity of a sound. Air covers upper-mids through treble and handles shimmer, articulation and top-end motion.
Each band carries its own oscillator, wave-shaper and effect slot. The bands then merge through a shared filter stage, a multiband compressor and a master EQ. The developer describes this as the first multiband synthesizer built for bass from the ground up.
The AM Injector routes amplitude modulation between bands, so Body can shape the level of Character, and Character can pump Air, creating rhythmic interaction within a single voice.
