Sound Character and Preset Library

PX Guitar Syn offers 300 presets in categories including bass, bells, brass, FX, keys, leads, organs, pads, pluck, polysynth, strings and sweeps. The developer states the presets were hand-crafted by its in-house sound design team.

The sounds are built from hardware samples, which gives the library a tonal range that moves from big fuzz guitar tones to sweet synth pads. The dual-layer design makes it straightforward to stack two sounds into one patch.

Editing Tools and Effects

Each patch can be shaped with ADSR amp envelopes, multimode filters with envelope control, and poly or mono modes with glide. Pitch shifting and stereo modes are included, along with modwheel mappings.

Modulation options include LFO and step modulators, and there are two arpeggiators. The built-in effects cover a 3-band EQ with sweepable crossover, drive, Thorus, ensemble, Phasor, digital delay and Sparkverb.
