Elektronik 25: Soviet-Era Synth Sample Library for Kontakt

Soundiron recorded the EM-25 in a dry studio using a pair of Neumann TLM 103 large-diaphragm microphones. The library's three main Kontakt instruments cover sustains and staccatos, so you can play long pads or short, detached notes from the same source.

The Octave control adds a lower and higher octave doubling for more body, while the Glide slider switches between monophonic legato and standard polyphonic playing. Together these give the sounds a fat, analog character that suits a range of styles.

The interface includes Volume, Attack, Release, Transient Offset and Vibrato controls, plus an adaptable LFO and a choice of 13 filters. An arpeggiator with a built-in velocity sequencer table is also included.

The library ships with 43 ambience patches and 20 sound-designed FX and ambient presets. A built-in convolution reverb offers 119 impulses, from cathedrals and churches to bunkers and tunnels, along with a multi-effects rack covering EQ, filter, phaser, flanger, delay and distortion.
