Eko Panda: Vintage Synth Kontakt Instrument by Soundiron

The interface offers controls for volume, attack, release, transient offset, vibrato and octave layering. The Glide slider enables legato and portamento leads when turned up, and standard polyphonic playing when set to zero.

An LFO system provides selectable shape, modulation target, speed, intensity, tempo sync and fade-in time. The instrument also includes 13 lowpass, highpass and FX filter options, with assignable modulation sources such as velocity, mod wheel, expression, aftertouch, key position and step-sequencer table control.

A customizable arpeggiator with a velocity sequencer table gives control over direction, note timing, swing, randomization and duration.

Eko Panda was recorded in a dry studio using a pair of Neumann TLM 103 large diaphragm microphones. Each key has sustain and staccato samples.

The included DSP rack covers EQ, filter, phaser, flanger, delay, distortion and amp and speaker simulation. The convolution reverb includes 119 impulses, ranging from cathedrals, churches and halls to garages, tunnels and more unusual effect impulses.

The library ships as open-format Kontakt .nki instruments, with 894 stereo samples at 24 bit / 48kHz uncompressed WAV, and the WAV samples can be imported into other compatible software.
