Sound Character and Recording Approach
Both instruments were recorded on two different cassette decks, which gives the set its vintage character. The library totals 979 samples, with 244 per deck plus two noise samples from each deck, stored as uncompressed 24-bit WAV files.
Each note was denoised with a high-quality algorithm to prevent noise from stacking when several notes play together. Some noise was intentionally left in the samples to avoid denoising artifacts. The developer says this keeps the sound organic, with many small imperfections.
