Drum Sound Character and Processing
Soundiron recorded more than 80 drum kit and auxiliary percussion elements with eight velocity layers per note. The developer says these were multitracked and stacked to create a tight, punchy tone with a wide stereo field, then passed through old analog signal paths for added crud and generation loss.
The samples are a 24-bit, 48 kHz PCM library covering bongos, clacks, claps, clicks, cymbals, glitch SFX, kicks, snaps, snares, tambourines and toms. Soundiron positions the sound across hip hop, electro, funk, techno, drum and bass, breakcore and other styles.
